Brictec Contributes to the High-Quality Construction of the Belt and Road Initiative
The Belt and Road Initiative (abbreviated as "BRI") refers to the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st-Century Maritime Silk Road." It was proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping in September and October 2013 respectively, with the aim of building the "New Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st-Century Maritime Silk Road" cooperation relationship. Relying on existing bilateral and multilateral mechanisms between China and relevant countries, and leveraging effective regional cooperation platforms, the BRI upholds the peaceful development concept and aims to actively develop economic partnerships with countries along the routes by utilizing the historical symbol of the ancient Silk Road. Together, they seek to create a community of shared interests, destiny and responsibility characterized by political mutual trust, economic integration, and cultural inclusiveness.
Brictec contributes to the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative by actively participating in various projects, providing technical support, and establishing partnerships. Through these efforts, Brictec promotes cooperation and exchanges across various fields, thus contributing to the successful implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
It was reported that another Chang'an Express departed from Xi'an on May 06, 2020, marking the breakthrough of 1000 train journey of CR Express since this year, and achieving remarkable increase under the critical pandemic prevention and control policy. With this milestone, one CR Express named Chang'an connected 44 countries and regions along the Belt and Road, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Central Asian countries, Germany, Poland, Belgium, and others, covering the whole European and Asian regions. It has become the international freight train with the most complete routes, the widest coverage, the highest efficiency, and the fastest speed among all operating trains in China.
In response to the call for expanding business along the Belt and Road Initiative, Brictec has participated in projects in various regions including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, and Iraq. In April and May, approximately 50 containers have been delivered from Xi'an Port to project sites in Tajikistan via the CR Express.
In the second half of 2021, Brictec estimates to send over 80 containers to project sites in countries such as Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
In April, with the easing of the epidemic and effective prevention and control, Brictec's project engineering and technical personnel were on their way to the overseas project site bravely despite the pandemic challenges. Their arrival has facilitated smooth progress and technical communication for the projects. The employees of Brictec have made tremendous efforts and contributions, demonstrating their dedication and professionalism.
